Momo and the Karaoke Kids

Live Cinema performance, 2005, 40 min.

A filmic dancer wanders through the gaps between Tel Aviv's tenements, controlled by popular karaoke hits hummed by a live singer. The locations through which Momo travels are manipulated in real-time, their auditory and visual appearance sliced and broken apart and reconstructed. Each of the 7 scenes begins in another blind alley, building into an abstract narrative of both frustration and hope.
